Neil Gaiman has penned a Beowulf screenplay, and it will be filmed by Robert Zemeckis using the same kind of image-capture technology that was used to produce The Polar Express, albeit a much more advanced version of said technology. Gaiman has blogged about the project from its inception, and it sounds quite exciting. Today an article appeared over at Hollywoodreporter.com which reveals the actors that will voice the characters in the epic poem. This article makes the project sound even more exciting.
The Simpsons has become an American icon, but many people are unaware that the show started off as a shorts that were aired on the old Tracy Ullman Show that appeared on Fox in 1987. Go here to view many of those classic shorts.
A bit of an aside here, but Leigh and I were in Best Buy and saw that six season of The Simpsons had hit the shelves, but we were didn’t really like the shape of the new box:

Pepys was a socialite of 17th century England, and for centuries has served as an excellent source of information when discussing Restoration theater, 17th century politics and gossip of his day.
