what does it say that America mourns this guy like Superman’s passing? Everywhere I go tonight it is what people are talking about. Disbelief is high, like, “He can’t die, he’s Superman”. Truly an icon. America’s next superhero? Stan Lee needs to make a comic book about Steve Irwin.
When he first started out broadcasting his shows they aired them over here, but not so much in Aussie-land. He was far more popular here because of “Animal Planet.” I think they aired his more serious documentaries over there after he became popular here, but I’d say that a large number of his fans were from the U.S.
